Hydrocephalus and plane ride?!?!? I have a baby yorkie that was has Hydrocephalus, and I was wondering if anyone know that if it's ok to get on the plane, I am flying with her so she will be in a small kennel under the seat.... Anyone know if that's ok or not... |
ask your vet. |
I know you can take a baby on a plane with hydrocephalus so I am sure a dog would be okay too. Since the cabin is pressurized I don't see why it would be any different than being in a car. |
well I ask the vet and he said avoid it, so I just want to ask for more opions |
Did he say why? |
Since the vet said no I wouldn't risk it. Humans with hydrocephalus already have the shunts so maybe that is why they can fly. |
They require a health certificate to fly, so you probably could not get one. |
is there anyway? is there anyway I can ship my dog ? I am moving to New Jersey and I live in Texas. I just think that being on the plane is the shortest traveling time and I will be there with her, that's why. Well the vet said only if I have to, but I just want to ask for more opinion, she's 3 and a half months old and only had one seizure like 2 months ago. She's gaining weight, eating and playing fine. She knows her name, how to sit and almost potty trained |
If she were mine, I would not ship her, I'd drive. But that is just me. I would worry too much. |
I am not shipping her, unless like there's a train or something, if she's flying , she's flying with me.... |
