Yorkie Constipation! I just bought my new little girl. She is about 12 weeks old. Her name is Snickers. Snickers started with the constipation about two days ago. I found this site by accident and joined. Thank you so much for the information about giving Snickers spiceless pumpkin. I will try it. I had no idea that pumpkin was fiber. Thanks! |
Regarding not feeding a chicken based food, I have fed primarily chicken based foods to my dogs (2 of which are Yorkies) for most of their lives with no problems. I know that some dogs have allergies or intollerance to chicken but mine have been fine. If you change food, just transition slowly so that you don't upset the tummy. |
 Having a problem with my 1yr. old yorkie "Bella". at first i throught she was drouling, but now I see it's not that. Her mouth has salva all on the outside, Maybe it's was something she ate that irritated her gums? I'm hoping that someone can help me, I've always come to this site whenever i have a problem with "Bella", and every remedy has worked so far. Thanks "Bella's" mom |

Rice is often added to the diet when a dog has diarrhea- it's starchy and binding, so I wouldn't add it to the food of a pup who already has that problem. |
