Oh no... I dont what to do. Daisy fell off the bed this morning, didnt cry BUT will not put her leg down. The part im scared about is its the leg that she has luxating patella in. She's not crying at all but she just laying there. My vet opens at *;30 and i will be a the door waiting for them to open. My ER vet closes at 8:00 and i couldnt make it there in an 1/2 hour. I will keep you posted on what happens at the vet. I'm hoping it sjust sparined and nothing major :( |
OH dear! I am hoping she just bruised it and Daisy will be just fine. Keep us posted! Good luck!! Hugs to you both!:ghug: |
Hoping it's just sore and she will be jumping on it once youhit the vet's waiting room. That's what usually happens to me. |
oh no :( i hope she will be ok.please keep us posted |
We're waiting for a Daisy update. I hope she's doing better...let us know.:) |
I hope that she is ok! Please let us know! |
Hoping everything is ok... |
Just got back from the vet and she's ok. He thinks she got a jolt of pain so thats why she wasnt moving it. She'll put it down now but no weight on it. He said that her knee is rarley in place so i'm guessing her luxating patella is a Level 4 (got to do some research) doesnt think she needs surgery because it's not phasing her at all. So i'm relieved now that nothing is wrong just sore. |
I hope everything goes okay at the vets. Please keep us updated. Prayers going out to you.:animal-pa |
So glad that little Daisy is ok... :) |
Whew...well that was quite a tumble, no wonder it's sore. Thanks for letting us know....I hope she feels better soon. |
My Bruce just had one of his knees fixed with the LP, and in the fall when he recoups from the one he will have the other done...Now his was not even a level 4, but it was reccomended that we operate, because LP wares on the joint so badly that when left uncorrected these little guys tend to develop very severe arthritis...I decided that is was worth it to have him be out of commission for about 4-6 weeks than to have him prematurely age or go through a lot of pain later...Really it did not seem that bad, the worst part was trying to contain his energy so it could heal properly, now he is up and running better than ever (at least until surgery 2)... Surgery is not right for all dogs though, but what I would reccomend is seeing a orthopedic surgery vet. Once we saw the specialist we were able to make a better decision. I am so glad your little lady is okay! It is great that she does so well with a bum knee, I kind of wish my little guy was such a trooper! |
Actually after research she defintley doesnt have Level 4 LP. He said her knee never is in the socket (i guess) but it doesnt hurt her or show any signs of it bothering her. I'm going to contiue to do reasearch and talk to my vet some more about it. i dont want her to have any problems in later life, i rahter do it now while she's 9 months and can have a better recovery. thank you for your concern. |
