Please can anybody help? I have had susie for five years and am not sure what age she was when we had her. just recently she has started to lose weight and seems to have slowed down and I assumed it was old age setting in! Today she appears to be really lethargic and cant be bothered to move, she seems all hunched up in the back when she walks as well. the biggest treat in the world for susie is a walk and she couldnt even muster the effort for that. in the last week she has seemed to shake more than usual and drink excessive amounts of water. I am gonna take her to the vet tomorrow as I cant offord to pay to see an emergency vet. please can anyone give any advice on whether this could be old age or illness? |
:wavey: :welcome4: Hi, Welcome to YT. I'm not really sure what it could be. I would make sure she is drinking water, and take her to the Vet as soon as you can. The Vet should be able to tell you about how old she is. Please keep us posted, we will keep her in Our Thoughts & Prayers  |
She has just drank loads and thanks for your welcome, that was really nice of you, I will be glad when the vet is open so I can get the little madam sorted out |
Poor baby. Maybe it's an upset stomach I would definately get her to the vet tomorrow. |
I don't have any insight. Welcome to YT and we'll keep Susie in our prayers. Please keep us posted. |
I would guess it might be diabetes with her increased thirst and weight loss. She definitely needs a visit to the vet for testing. |

I agree. She sounds too youndg for it to be old age. I'd get to the vet first thing. You don't want her to go into a diabetic coma or have seizures. Give small meals often. |
