Excited Willies Hi, I've never had a dog before and I dont mean to sound disgusting but we've just had the biggest fright and I'm not sure what to do. Tino got a little excited and his willy popped out, thing is it popped out with a lump on the base of it? Is this normal? Both me and my partner thought that they were just straight with no 'lumps' on them. Thing is, it wouldnt go back in either. We were about to ring A&E. My boyf did get a picture to show the vet and I can post it but I dont wanna offend anyone. Can you help?? |
Nothing to be afraid of. that's how dogs "tie" it's part of the breeding. leave it alone and it should go down all by itself. PS I wouldn't take the picture to the vet. |
Didnt mean to sound like a wierdo saying I've taken a picture by the way. |
LOL !!! You sound really worried so I promise... no laughing smilies posted (but I DID laugh when I read the subject) I've heard that can happen and they usually do go back in...and some people have been known to lend a helping hand.... I think I had a boyfriend called Excited Willie..... :D :D :D |

Lol. I was really worried, I was on the phone to vet A&E. My boyf did lend a helping hand! I've just never seen him do it that bad before! And my boyf's old dog didnt do that either apparantly! Funny thing was, he was humping my boyf's foot! lol! :eyetearss |
I really sound nutty..... Well you think that's crazy this is going to sounds nuts, but the other day I thought Georgie had a hypoglycemic attack. Okay here's the thing he was sleeping, and I was napping as well. When I woke up I said like I always do where is Georgie and I look down at him and his lipstick as my brother calls it was completely out (like further out then I have ever noticed). Anyways when I went to pet him he started to like get real tense (like he does when he is humping his daddies arm :D ) and he starts like he is having a seizure. Well right as soon as his lipstick went back in about 10 seconds he was completely fine. I took him to the emergency vet and was too embarrassed to tell her what happened, but it hasn't happened since. I posted about the attack and everyone said with a hypoglycemic attack it would be longer than 10 seconds. Do I sound crazy? Can male dogs if they get woken up have this reaction? |
I know what you mean Georgiesmum, i felt like a right arse posting it on here but I knew someone would help me! My baby is growing up! :) How old is Georgie? |
And another thing ...... his bottom lip/jaw was shaking?? |
Yea I am glad you had the courage to do it because it was sooooo weird and very scary. Georgie is 10 months and has been so healthy and eats regularly etc. How old is your baby? |
He is only just over 4 months old! He's fine and healthy too, happy and eating well. It was very scary! Funny now I think about what I've written but it was scary at the time! |

I completely understand what you are saying. I was so nervous, and the emergency vet was very expensive. |

In all seriousness...what you've described is not uncommon. :) |

Really what happened to Georgie is not uncommon? I wish I would have known I could have saved a couple hundred dollars. ;) |
