Hind Leg Limp Of course many of you have the same problem as I...My Little Doogie is a jumper. I recently saw him limping and he has been doing so for over a week. I have to imagine that is due to jumping off of something. He is putting weight on the leg and can run but he is still nursing that leg. Any suggestions? :animal-pa |
I accidently shut my little one's front paw in the door. I felt around on it to see if he yelped or was in great pain and he wasn't, but I would say he stopped favoring it after 3 or 4 days at the longest. Sometimes limping with a back leg can be a symptom of a back injury. |
Brandy had a limp for a while. She was holding up the rear foot when she ran or walked. We would poke and feel all around it and could never get her to yelp. It was when she was pretty little and got stepped on a lot (not totally stepped on but enough to cause the occasional yelp :( ) After a few days I took her in for x-rays and found nothing. My vet had a specialist look at them and he couldn't see anything wrong either. Brandy continued to limp and favor that leg for several weeks until one day we finally realized that she had stopped limping. It may just go away and you may never know what it was. |
