My Yorkie is sick! I am really worried about my seven week old Yorkie pup. She is having the following symptoms: wheezing when sleeping, dry heaves, and fatigue. She is normally very energetic and it hurts to see her this way. Yesterday we gave her a treat and i believe she got a little choked by it. Every since then she has had these symptoms. My brother suggested that maybe the piece of food may just be a piece of the treat to big too digest and too big to through up and this is just exhausting her. What do you think? Does anyone have any suggestions? Please, she means the world to us and we want to help her. |
Hi and welcome to Yorkie Talk. I am very sorry about your furbaby. I don't wanna scare or such but Id see a vet asap. Being your pup is so very young and small it's important to seek professional help w/ the symptoms you have described. Please keep us posted on how she is doing. |
I would see a vet also. If it is an obstruction of some kind your baby will probably get diahrea also. |
Welcome to YT! I agree with the other posts - I would get her to the vet asap and please let us know how things go!! Good luck and I hope everything turns out ok! :D |
Sick Yorkie I will take her to the vet. She seems to be better than last night. Hopefully that is a good sign. Do think I should take her to the emergency vet or can i wait until tomorrow morning? Thank you so much for your help!!! |
If you think it is an obstruction I would take her to the Emergency vet. |
Sick Yorkie OK. Thank you for your help. We will take her today. |
I agree with the other posts...I would take her to the emergency vet. You can never be too careful with this little guys, especially since she is so young. What was she eating when she got choked? Good luck, keep us posted on how she is doing. We worry about these little guys as if they were our own!! |
She ate a dog treet that I realized this morning was for non pregnant adult dogs only. |
