Gracie is vomiting! Please help! Hi everyone, I really don't believe she is sick. We have been doing some remodeling, and I really think she might have eaten some sheetrock dust or something that we didn't get up off the floor. I know, I feel so bad... She started shaking after she threw up, so I gave her some Nutrical, and I thought she was better, but then she threw up again. It's been about 4 times now, and I'm mainly just worried that she's going to get dehydrated. Has anyone given their yorkie Gatorade? I hope that's not a stupid question, but I want to do something for her, but I don't know what to do. Other than the vomiting, she seems fine. Any suggestions??? |
Gatorade, pedialyte anything to hydrate them. Honey in warm fat free broth is a good choice. Let her tummy settle for 24 hours before you start her back on regular diet. My vet says that the gut and the stomach have an agreement..Gut says "stomach don't send anything down here til I tell you to or you are gonna get it right back from either or both ends!" Smoochies from Rini's cuties. |
I dont know about gatoraide but you can give pedialite. I would keep giving the nutrical. Someone on here said they fasted their yorkie for a short bit when they were vomiting. |
Oh Rini, thank you so much. I'll try the gatorade right now. Bless you! |
Poor baby. I hope she gets better soon. |
I posted vomiting info today. Check it out. :) |
Thank you ladies! I went ahead and gave her some gatorade, and she LOVED it. She seems to be feeling better now, so I've just got my fingers crossed that she got it all out of her system. My husband and I were just talking about how wonderful YT is. You all are great! Thanks so much! |
glad shes feeling better! when my dog got sick, we put pepno(sp), crushed tums, in her food and gave her gatorade. it actually worked! |
Many things can cause those symptoms.. BUT, I have had a puppy eat dry wall and all that happened is that we had little piles of caulking all over the place. he-he-he |
