Help!!please Help!!my Little Tinkerbell :(Ok so i have had Tinkerbell for 1 week, she is 7 weeks now and 10oz. She is a very acitve little baby, she eats well, plays, pees. She did have a little bump on her belly filled with what looked like pus, i took her to the vet and he took care of it, its almost gone it is healing. he doesn't know what caused it :(. I put Tinkerbell to sleep last night at around 11:00 p.m and she was fine  and i checked on her at around 2:00p.m. both times she ate and peed . Then i went to bed, this morning when i woke up around 8:00a.m she woke up also and she went to pee in her wee wee pad, but when i saw her little face one of her eyes had gunk in it little mucos . I took a cotton ball and cleaned with warm water, it helped. She then ate all of her food, dry food with baby gerber(chicken). She was playing but pawing her eye a little :(, she was acting normal, then she went potty and it was alittle soft :( not diarriah but somehow soft. Should i take her to the vet? I already took her for her belly sack twice. I live in Korea and my vet is Korean i don't speak the language so is very hard to comnunicate sometimes, he does speak english but not fluently. Can somebody give me some advice? or should i just take her in? Do you think maybe she scratched her eye? but what about the soft BM, she was doing so good!! :( |
Yes, you should take her to the vet. She could very well have an eye infection and that is not something you want to mess around with. Their eyes are precious. If it is an eye infection, they will more than likely give you eye drops that are like an antibiotic. Good luck! :) I almost forgot: As far as her bowels being soft, mention it to the vet. If it is a one-time thing, then it is nothing to worry about. However, it could reoccur and there could be something else going on with her. She's very tiny, so you have to be very careful with her. |
She could have a little infection in her eye. About the soft poop, is she on any antibiotics for the bump?? If so this could make her poop soft. Or if she has a change in foot. Sometimes this can also cause soft stools. It really sucks that you can't clearly communicate with the vet. Is there someone there that can speak fluent english and korean that could translate for you? That would help a lot. |

As far as her food, I haven't changed anything she is eating the same thing, and she is not on any antibiotics for her bump on her belly, it is an external cream he gave me. She only has had one semi soft BM. My poor baby, I feel frustraited that i don't have more options on vets . But i guess i'll take her in. The only thing that conforts me is that she is still acting the same eating and all!! :p. She is such a good baby. |
Good luck to you. She is precious. :p |
OK so i just got back from the vet and he said it was an infection and gave some eye drops. She pooped and it looks normal, as soon as we got back she was starving so i fed her and she ate all of her food. The gook in her eye looks kinda green :(....eww poor baby. If any of you have any suggestions as to what it might be or if this ever happen to your babies it would be helpful, because the vet wasn't really able to explain . He pretty much said "infection" and gave the eye drops to put in her eye 3 times a day. |
Oh, wow...how frustrating for you! I would go nuts not being able to understand what my baby's doc was saying. I'm glad you got the basic idea on what it was! :D At least it is nothing life threatening. You sound like you are taking care of it very well. ;) |
Tinkierbelle is so cute. Hope the drops start working real quick and her eye is fine real soon. She is so precious. Getting her into the vet was important, we can't second guess on anything unusual that comes up with them. Please keep us posted on how she is doing. |
Update on Tinkerbell I just wanted to tell you all she is doing much better, her eye was almost normal today. I think it helped that i bathed her. Thank you all for your advice ;) |
Great news! Glad to hear she is doing better. You will get lots of good advice here, but a good vet is the most important. Atleast the vet gives you an idea of what is wrong and what to do....too bad that you can't fully understand and communicate with them though.....boy, I know I "bug" my vet tremendously with all the questions, etc....and especially if I don't understand something...I can always call them and have them explain it again. Take care and Mojo sends her hugs and kisses! |
