Sudden pee trailing I kinda hesitate to post this because I don't know if she's sick, exactly, and it's only on her pee pad. No where else in the house. She was dx'd a year and a half ago with Renal changes and IBD. She had a flareup due to one of the treats she was getting and she stopped drinking as much. This is all normal for her. Her liquid intake has been picking back up so no problems there. But she's now trailing pee, like walking while peeing. I see no cloudy urine, no straining, and no lethargy. She's in great spirits, too. She used to do this a little bit, but now it's every single time she's been peeing. Does any one know what this is? |
Could be UTI. Don't take chances, get her to the vet. Better safe than sorry  |
I agree about consulting your vet if there’s anything new that concerns you. One thing you could check, though: does your pup possibly have any long hair down there that could be absorbing and trailing pee? I ask because Jax tends to grow really long hair, and he’s very bad about holding still to be trimmed (besides being rather phobic about scissors) and he tends to drip pee when his hair down there gets overgrown. It’s a trail of drips, though, not a stream of pee. |
She was taken the next day. She's doing much better and back to normal. They think that it's a newer habit she's picked up she's done it since but it's not a consistent thing. Bluebells, she very well *could* be doing this because of that. She goes in every 6-8 weeks and she IS in need of grooming. This time she's late because she got a flareup and her appointment is on tuesday. She is very phobic of the electric razor and not too keen on the scissors, either. Thank you, I think you're right about that. I'll check back here after her grooming. Thanks so much! *replies on this post were dumped into my spam, sorry for the late reply* |
