Callie’s knee I’m hoping to get some prayers and good thoughts. When Callie was younger she had surgery on one back knee for a partial ACL tear and Luxating Patella surgery on the one knee. Several years later we did Luxating Patella surgery on the other knee and then a year after that the ACL tore in that leg and she had to have surgery for that too. Well she has weakness in them from her Cushings and arthritis a little. She is on a daily pain medicine for pain with her arthritis. Well she was rolling around on her back on a toy and went to get up and let out a small faint cry and didn’t put her leg down when walking and then slowly started walking on it again. My dad thought he heard a pop so my thought was her knee popped out and back in. Well a few hours later she had it up again but then started walking on it again. I’m hoping that she just needs some rest and it will be ok but now I’m really worried. |
Give it 24 hours, in that 24 hour don't allow her to jump up or down from sofa or bed, don't allow her to run. Cody bashed his left shoulder 2 1/2 weeks ago because he flies out of the door to catch the squirrels and crashes into the lattice on the deck railing, this time he must have bent his paw backwards when he hit the lattice, he was holding up his paw and walking on all 3's. I started getting dressed to get him to the vet on a ER visit, I saw he jumped on the bed then off the bed, I decided to wait 24 hours. He did good the next day, he was putting weight on it but, as soon as I let him out BAM he hits the lattice again and up came the paw. So, every time he needed to go out I put the harness and leash on him. I blocked the sofa with cushions so he couldn't jump up and closed the bed room door, no jumping, running for 48 hours. For a week I used the harness and leash at potty time. I'm still not allow running. He's been fine for two weeks but still not allowing hard running. I know it's Callie's knee popping out, big difference then what Cody did, but I would wait 24 hours with no jumping, running and hard playing, keep her calm, see how she is after the 24 hours. |

Raw diet would eliminate joint issues...just saying. Up her manganese. it supports the joints & prevents ACL tears. Cooked blue mussels are a great source of manganese. |

What I said was to help you & Callie. That was it. My "opinion". I didn't say that to intentionally hurt you or anything bad the way you're perceiving it. I'm serious, blue mussels contain high amounts of manganese. You can google it if you'd like " foods high in manganese". |

Anyway, I got confused w/ ACL & CCL. Here's the link that explains manganese deficiency & what it can do: https://animalwellnessmagazine.com/m...y-ccl-disease/ |
