New member Hi everyone, this is my first post on Yorkie Talk. My name is Flick ( short for Felicity) and I have 2 adorable miniature Yorkie pups, who are both 15 weeks old. I live on the Gower Peninsular near Swansea, in Wales. Sadly my pups were only well for 2 weeks or so after bringing them home, one then developed diarrhoea , and a week later the other one too. It's been over a month now that they have both had it, though strangely, in every other way they are fine... eat well, sleep well. playful. hydrated. They have even put on a fair bit of weight over those weeks, despite living on chicken or white fish and rice, as per vet instructions. Antibiotics haven't worked, nor puppy imodium. The vet reckons their intestines are inflammed as mucas is a big part of their stools, which were sent away to be tested but came back clear. Its worrying and frustrating and has gone on a long time now. Can anyone suggest anything to help solve this, whatever it is? |
Have they been tested more than once for giardia...? Giardia often hides under scope, and can very easily be misdiagnosed. |
