Megaesophagus Has anyone heard of or have experience with yorkies having megaesophagus? I plan on giving the vet a call tomorrow. Every so often Abby will vomit or maybe it's regurgitate undigested food. It's most unsettling. :( |

Praying for Abby.. |
How old is she? I have very limited knowledge of this but it’s suppossed to make it almost impossible for them to keep food or water down so I would think she would always be throwing it back up not just occasionally. I still definitely think you need to go to the vet because something is definitetly off or not right. I hope it’s nothing really bad. |
Sometimes if she doesn't have enough food in her tummy, Piper will throw-up during morning walk (she doesn't really even stop moving). And sometimes if she gets too excited too soon after eating, same. These are not instances that occur frequently, but have happened more than once... |
How long after eating is she vomiting? Any patterns? How does her stool look? Pax was vomiting every so often about 4-5 hours after eating. Turns out he had some underlying infection, worms, or parasites. We just went through this for several months. |

I'm thinking she's regurgitating and not vomiting. Stools are fine. |

I was thinking the same thing that she would be doing this after each time she eats. She's otherwise good. I did put a call into her vet. |

I would think if it was Megaesophagus, the food would be tubular shape as it doesn’t make it into the stomach, and it would occur frequently. Do you plan on getting bloodwork done? |

Not sure what Abby has that causes the regurgitation, but Casie used to do this too occasionally. The kibble pieces were still all intact. I started soaking the kibble in water for 5-10 minutes and then draining the water before feeding her - this seemed to help and since then, she hasn't regurgitated anymore. |
Taking Abby in tomorrow for x-rays and will see the vet right after that. Am praying they don't find anything bad. She's all I have. |
