Cyst/lumps experiences 4 Attachment(s) For starters, Precious has had a bump since June of last year. I took her to the vet 2 days in a row because I was so paranoid. Both times I was told the same thing - that it’s most likely nothing to worry about, to watch it, or that it was a bug bite because at the time it was red & looked like she had been bothering it. Now fast forward to today & it’s still there! It doesn’t bother her, she lives her life as if it’s not there. Literally. I’m the only one worried about it between the 2 of us. It’s round, if you pick up her skin you can feel it. It’s not soft nor has there been there any discharge. However, sometimes it looks like it desperately needs to be popped. From June until now it has only grown a tiny bit. Has anyone ever experienced something like this? If so what was it? I’m really hoping that it’s just a cyst that refuses to drain or pop because it’s near her leg & she’s so active. I’m most likely going to take her Monday to get checked. |
Is the vet calling it a sebaceous gland cyst or a follicular cyst...? If so, these are very common and many dogs will get them their whole lives. With Marcel, he'll get them and they grow...and at some point we do have to have them surgically removed once they just get too big. When tiny though, the vet can sometimes just quickly laser zap them off - so that's the time (if they are growers) to get them -- bc you may be able to do a quick sedation and zap it, done. Rather than actual surgery! |

I took her to the vet this morning. She had a needle aspiration done & it showed something the vet couldn’t identify. But it was something of the same cells. She will get it removed & sent off to be tested on the 18th. I’m extremely scared but hoping for the best |
Hopefully it's nothing....so many things are but better to get it removed and checked out. It doesn't look like something awful but of course I'm just a pet owner like you. Let us know how it goes!! |
