8 week old puppy fell onto cement Earlier today my dad was holding my 8 week old yorkie. Koda is really playful and likes to squirm. He jumped out of his arms suddenly and dropped about 5.5 feet onto the cement. He immediately rolled over onto his back and went stiff with his legs sticking up into the air, his head tilted over, eyes rolling back, and tongue sticking out. We immediately rushed him inside and a few minutes later he was moving and walking around and eventually he was playing and acting normal. We almost took him to the vet but when he started moving my dad refused to take him. Should he be fine? |
No he needs to go be checked out he should have went asap! |
Do yourself and this pup a favorite and take Coda to see a vet. Better to be safe then sorry :fallen: |
That's what I told my dad. I was begging him but he's so convinced that he's fine, especially after all his friends said he was |
tell your dad to think of this pup as a new born human baby. I am sure if this was a skin child he would make the trip to the doctor. This pup could have hit it's head or gotten internal injuries./ Please have your dad read these posts. This pup is just to young to overlook the accident and a 5 foot fall is quite a distance for a small baby Yorkie Praying for your pup and you |
Absolutely get this 8 week old baby to your vet, injuries may not show up right away, and if they do then it maybe to late, seems the puppy was knock out for a bit, get him to a vet, and when someone holds him make sure they are sitting just in case he gets squirmy again and leaps out of their arms, puppies are very squirmy and don't like to be held, confined, be careful with this puppy. |
