He is doing fine! This is day three he has not had food stuck in the back of his mouth. I am not sure if his throat was swollen and is better, or if we are just babying him so he doesn't have anything as big as a pea to swallow. For now, I will probably continue as we have and give him soft and small food.
Thank you for caring. I am not vet-shy, Zoey had a stroke or something a couple of months back and she is going in monthly now for full blood workup, even though he says he has never seen better bloodwork in a gal her age(12). Robin had a 1 pound tumor removed a month ago and has one more checkup.
The reason I had taken Beau in was because he was itching for no reason. The doctor said his skin looked fine, but gave him something for the itching. That is when we spoke about the choking, it had just begun at that time. It got a lot worse, and now seems to be getting better. Maybe it had something to do with the itching and I didn't think of that either. |
