My Yorkie won't play and just won't come out Hi my 6 yr old Yorkie won't play or come out when calling him. His normally really active but for the past few days his been acting worried... I would take him to the vet but right now I'm really tied on money since I was in a motorcycle accident and just had my second surgery and waiting on my disability check to come in to take him but any help for It would be help full... |
It could be his anal glands bothering him. If you have a good groomer, they can check & express them for little money. He should see a vet though as soon as possible if you try that & it doesn't work as it could be just about anything. Is he eating & drinking as usual ? |
My wife toll me he hasn't been eating or drink as normal but he was just a little |
Anals can cause them to be a bit off their food but I would be getting him to a vet ASAP as even if it's anals they could be infected or impacted & could rupture. You could apply for Care Credit at a vets office if needed. |
Ok thank you so much and will do everything I can to take him in tomorrow hopefully everything will be good... Cause I have another Yorkie as well and his good to active |
Please update after your vet visit so we know how he is. Oh ! and Welcome to YT !:) |
Sure will and thank you I'm going to try to clear his anals as we seen videos on you tube me and my wife |
I know you're strapped but honestly, something is indeed wrong here if he isn't really eating or drinking. When a dog has inappetance, you really do need to get them to the vet asap. Please do the right thing and get this helpless little guy to the vet...even if you have to borrow money or put it on a credit card - he needs to be seen and it would be very wrong to not do right by him. |
how is the little fellow? |
Any up-date on your little guy? |
Hi everyone thanks for all your help and we took Chester in today to see the vet. And the out come is joint pain in his knees they gave him a treatment if not he may need surgery and once again thank you all for your help |

At 6 years old, I'd highly suggest putting him on Glucosamine Chondroitin supplements. Just as it's beneficial for eldery humans, this supplement will ease joint pains of dogs and help to lubricate his joints so he can enjoy many more years to come joint-pain free! It's really great preventative measure! You can read up on this supplement here (you can buy the same dog supplements at pet stores): Glucosamine and Chondroitin-Topic Overview |
So glad you were able to get your baby to the vet. Sorry to hear about the diagnosis & hope all goes well. Please keep us posted. |
