Trauma to the head
 

So today i had some boxes moved in to my new apartment and my cat and Lily were running around playing together and one tipped and landed on her head, i rushed her to the ER and they are keeping her overnight. due to my financial situation she can only stay for half a day so i will be picking her up tomorrow morning and i just wanted to get it off my chest how worried i am, the whole way there she couldn't control her drool and my shirt sleeve was soaked and her eyes couldn't focus they kept twitching and when it first happened she cried but after her first initial whines she didn't make any noises. they are giving her medicine to relive the fluid on her brain on the swollen area, and giving her pain medication. they called to give me an update and said that she can't right her self and that she falls over when they try to get her to stand. I'm scared about the state she will be in when i get her since its only 12 hours of the medication and if she will make it with out the medical assistance. The doctors didn't seem like she wouldn't recover though so I'm trying to be positive but they did say that with out the medication there is a larger chance she will have lasting mental issues. i feel so guilty and unprepared for this situation and i can't sleep. i thought maybe typing everything out would make me feel better.

I'm so glad you rushed her right in bc otherwise she may not have made it at all. I hope she recovers quickly. Honestly, these kind of accidents could happen to any one of us - so don't beat yourself up.

Any news of her this morning?

Thank you that makes me feel slightly better, no updates as of yet. They are supposed to call me this morning at 9:00 to come for her which is 30 minutes from now. I haven't called for any updates myself because I'm so scared to find out how she is doing. I don't care if she's still drooling or if that's something she will do for the rest of her life but I hope everything else will slowly recover because right now she can't even walk. And when I get her I hope her eyes are at least focused. Seeing them twitch and wander was the scary part.
