Posting photos to go along with my other thread! (6 week old puppy) 3 Attachment(s) Well I just got home from the vet's office, it turns out the puppy is more like 5 weeks old, I plan to report this sick "breeder" who stated the pup was 9 weeks old with first ahots, and even at 9 weeks I would be weary. Puppy has roundworm and ear mites, got him dewormed and have earmite drops he sent me home with. He is weighing in at 1 pound today. Vet said he is doing surprisingly well for his age and for me to keep doing what I'm doing, canned food with puppy replacement formula, water, and nutrical. I am currently feeding him about every 3 hours. |
First photo is him in the vet's office about an hour ago. And the two other photos are ones from the "breeder". |
He is absolutely adorable!!!! :) |

Bunch of sick twisted people in this world trying to make a buck, good job reporting that "breeder". |
So now as for the reporting part, do I call animal control ? |
I would start with animal control and see what they have to say and if they can give you any feedback on who else to contact. Your baby is a doll, but the facial colorings are odd. There should be more brown. I am not even sure she is a full yorkie. There should be a lot of brown around the muzzle. https://www.google.com/search?q=york...=1920&bih=1139 You can see in this quick google search, puppies much younger than yours has lots of brown around the mouth and eyebrows. |
I agree, as I have purebred akc adult as well. But the vet said you can't really tell at this age and that they come in different colors ( parti ect.) And many are very dark at a young age. But regardless I don't care I will love him just the same purebred or not. |

Thank you so much maxdog. Means a lot to me ! He just ate another meal and is now sleeping again :) |
He is having diarrhea after the deworming. I am giving him extra water to keep him hydrated. Is this normal after deworming? |

❤️❤️❤️ |
He is eating and drinking normally and has become very playful, but still has soft stool |
Usually we give canned pure pumpkin (not pumpkin pie spiced, just 100% pumpkin) that helps firm up the stools. But with this pup being so young I would call the vet first. |
Oh the humanity! Yes, start with reporting to animal control. I'm sure that they will recommend that you report the breeder to other places such as Better Business Bureau and whoever your state licensing agency is for dog breeders. For instance, in Los Angeles, the information can be found here: Breeders Permit | Los Angeles Animal Services "B. No offspring may be sold, adopted, bartered, or otherwise transferred, whether for compensation or otherwise, until it has reached the age of at least eight weeks." I'm not sure about other parts of California, but there are state laws as well. Edit: Here is some more information specific to Orange County: Citizens observing any of the following conditions at an animal related business should report it to OC Animal Care at 714-935-6848. Cruelty to animals Sick or injured animals Lack of healthful food and potable water Unsanitary facilities |
