Bladder stones My Yorkie had struvite stones removed from his bladder today. He pooped twice, small pieces a couple hours apart. He drank from his bowl twice tonight. He has yet to urinate. He was neutered too. I'm wondering if anyone has experiance with this. How long should it take for him to start to urinate? Thank you |

no experience with this so I didn't reply before. Hopefully he is on the mend and continues to do puppy antics. |
If he doesn't start to urinate take him back to the vet. He may have to be catheterized. Our very first dog (a rescue) developed stones in the bladder. He had surgery but after a day or two I saw him leaning against the wall just looking at us. He was catheterized several times before I found a new (and improved) vet who ultimately had to do an additional surgery to correct the problem. Watch the color of the urine also. If it even has a pink tint, head back to the vet. Just watch him carefully. I hope that this is resolved and your baby is just fine. |
This thread was started on Oct. 1 .. only seeing it now. OP how is your pup doing? |
