Sneezing and snorting after boarding? Hello Everyone! Last Weekend I boarded my four yorkies at a very nice doggie resort in our local town. I have boarded them there many times before and it is very clean and the people are nice and always remember their names. Anyway, I picked them up on Sunday and they seemed perfectly fine. Monday they started sneezing like crazy and snorting. Otherwise they seemed fine, eating, drinking, and playing. Friday Stella, my three year old yorkie started acting weird and nervous. I took her to the vet and everything checked out perfect including her bloodwork. She said it all came back exactly as it should. She is a very good vet and very thorough. She thinks that they had an allergic reaction to something in the boarder. Stella is still acting nervous and being sheepish about eating. Could it just be that she is stressed about the sneezing and snorting? She can be sensitive |
Sounds like a virus to me. These things happen- anytime a dog is around a lot of others there is a chance of viral spread. |
I suppose that it is possible. Though the doc didn't think so because the bloodwork was good. I am supposed to give then benadryl for the next 7-10 days and when I give it to them it does stop for awhile |
Boarding So sorry to hear your babies don't feel so good after boarding. Could it be kennel cough or some other respiratory infection? Good that the blood work showed nothing abnormal. Did you call the boarder resort to see if they have seen any other dogs with these issues? Hope they feel better soon. |
