Couldn't breath My 7 year old yorkie woke up this morning like he couldn't breath. He kept trying to blow out of his nose like something was lodged in it and stoping his air flow. I calmed him down and he was ok. This really freaked me out. He is fine now his nose it wet and he is happy. Anyone else have this happen? |
I might be collapsing trachea. He should be checked out by your vet. |
I would get him to your vet, that is not normal. |
Thanks I will take him to the vet. I just got home from work. Fed him and took him for a walk and he is fine, but I need to know what happened. I will post his results.thanks |
If he does it again, try to calm him and gently blow air into his face, at his nose......not like resuscitation, just blow air into his face, ....that will occasionally make them catch their breath and stop that action. |
Sam has a reverse sneeze - that's just crazy. Thank you all for your help - I was so worried - Sam says thank you also |

Sounds like a reverse sneeze episode to me. There is a thread in the Health Library that has video of one. |
So glad that you found an answer!! |
