Looking forward to hearing the report from Toby's appointment with the doc. |
That poor little guy. This is one of those days I hate people! So we got two new dogs, let's throw the old one way! They should be banned from ever having animals much less children. |
I'm so glad Toby found you. What a little sweetheart... I cannot fathom how or why people can do such a thing. But I think Toby was meant to find you and I'm so happy he will get the love and care he deserves. |

Hugs to the little feller...hope his appt goes really well. |
OK...pretty good news for Toby! My vet thinks the eyes are chronic and there is really nothing that needs to be done; but he did refer him to GCVS Ophthalmology for a thorough exam and opinion. He has that appointment on August 31. His dental is scheduled for next Friday, August 28th. He is heartworm negative!!! I was SO relieved to hear that. His blood work had some mild elevations, but nothing really alarming. We will be doing a urinalysis on him. My vet's diagnosis was "old blind dog". We can live with that! Oh....and his knees are fine! He is eating and sleeping well...no major issues with Toby at all! |
Great news! Give Toby a hug from all of us! |
Wonderful news that Toby's heartworm test is negative and that he is adjusting to the good life well. Sending best wishes for him for his dental to go smoothly, and his appt with the ophthalmologist. |
Linda that sounds like great news for Toby indeed very happy for you both. |

I'm excited to hear that little Toby is a youthful and pretty healthy older gentleman. I hate when people cast aside the older ones -- they're really depriving themselves of some pretty special moments of love. These last few months with my elderly dogs are as precious to me as any other day ever was, including the day when they came home as little puppies. I wish everyone shared that opinion of their pets, and didn't just replace them for new pups or throw them out when they're useful breeding life ended or they became ill or whatever the reason. I'm just glad Toby is going to live out the rest of his days happy. I hope someone adopts him too! |
