need some answers My little girl Kayla is 6 lbs and usually ready for treats. But lately she is not excited to eat, but she does. Every couple of days she will throw up..sometimes bile sometimes partially digested food. Also when I groomed her I noticed these black spots under her skin on the outside of her vagina. At first I thought it was blood vessels, but today one was at the surface so I pushed it around with my finger. Then it came out partially. Kind of looked like a blackheads with puss. Not sure if the two things are related. I have had her to the vet twice, he told me it was her anal sacks. One side was very full. I am going to take her back to the vet, but was wondering if anyone else had seen the same thing |
I'm not sure what you're seeing with those pustule type things, to be honest...some sort of clogged pore or something...but I'd def get it seen by the vet, like you said. How old is she? Maybe try switching foods? |
Hi, Kayla is 3 yrs old, i switched her food twice, very slowly. Keep you posted. |
Wondering if you got back to the vet for further check up? |
Yes, thank you. I took her in and he said that they are pustuals coming out from her bladder/urethra. . I'm having a full blood work done and a urinalysis. Told me it will take 7 days to complete...ugh. He put her on antibiotics. Now it's just sit and wait. I really hate the waiting game, wish I knew ateast what's going on. Keep you posted. |
took her back for the 3rd time... I did take her back to the vet where he is found a full blood work and urinalysis. He has also put her on antibiotics. He said he is unsure of what is going on but that these blackish like pustulesseem to be coming from within not from a clogged pore or outside infection.. |
Ouch ! I hope she starts feeling better in no time. |
This sounds rather unusual - and for me I would be off to an internal medicine specialist - preferably at a teaching hospital where they have all those specialists on staff. If there is something *weird* going on the specialists are trained to have the skills and the diagnostic tools to identify the problem. Do you have one of these hospitals near to you You can ask for a referral from your vet or alternatively just show up on an emergency basis. |
need some answers Yes, we do live somewhat near a teaching hospital. Never thought about that, thank you. |
