Lend me your ear! Hello all. I am new to this forum and I have a question ... I have two yorkies and I have a concern with my female. She has a small bump on her ear. It's about 2-3mm wide and circular. It's well defined, not diffuse. She's seven years old. From my understanding, they seem very common. Do any of your dogs have them as well? My brother's dog had one and he got it removed. It was benign. I plan on taking her soon to get her teeth cleaned and they said they could remove it then, but my thinking is that if it's not bothering her/seems noncancerous/probably just reoccur, I should just leave it. What are your thoughts? Thank you! |
I would probably have the vet remove and biopsy the first one to be certain that there is nothing to be too concerned about, it it comes back and does not seem to be bothering the dog, then maybe leave it be. |
If my vet thought it was benign, I would probably leave it unless it was bothering the dog. |
Our Airedale Terrier has several lumps . Our Vet examined each one and diagnosed them as Lipomas ( fatty tumors which are harmless unless they get too big and cause discomfort . ) I was told to keep an eye on them and if any one of them become hard and and not movable we will have it removed and biopsied .. |
Thank you all for your input! I will just tell the vet to remove it if she thinks it's medically necessary. Again, I appreciate all your responses 😀 |
