We boiled a chicken breast and shredded it for her. We figured she would probably not feeling like eating her regular food so we thought the chicken would entice her and it did. |

So glad to hear that the surgery is over and your baby is home! |
We arranged some ottomans and baskets so he has a little area in the living room on the floor. He surprised us and did not protest a bit about sleeping in crate last night. He usually sleeps on the bed, but we are thinking that it is going to be the crate from now on because of the safety issues he could face from jumping even after recovery. He is doing potty very well. He just looks at us if he need something, and DH jump to his command! We have to bring the water to him and coax him, same with food. So far, so good. |
We tried a playpen with Sasha before the crate but she wanted to jump in it. Putting a blanket over it helped. In the end the crate was the best choice for us. |
Well, one week down, and five more to go. At least for the most intense part. In one way it is easier every day because he is getting used to the new inactive routine. In another way it is more difficult because he feels better every day! Tonight I could tell he wanted to stroll around the lawn, sniffing whatever. Poor guy. His wishes are so simple, and he just can't have them right now. |
Update on Dinky. Dh and I brought Dinky to surgeon yesterday, just about a week early for the 6 week check up because we need to get back to Michigan for a few months and we really need to go now. I was so happy and relieved to hear the vet say that Dinky is doing great. In fact, he said the we can begin the rehab on Monday (that's the day we arrive in MI). He said take it slow and back off if Dinky has pain. Thanks again for all of the good advice about finding a board certified surgeon. |
Happy to hear that things are going well!! Thanks for the update! :) |
Great news! Before you know it Dinky will be running around full speed and pain free! |
