I am so sorry about this, and I'm also praying for Chester. It is frustrating that you cannot get the US sooner, with a 3 day weekend ahead it would have been nice if you could have had it sooner. |
Oh, I am so sorry to hear this. My heart goes out to you and little Chester  |
I talked to my vet today and asked him more questions about the ultrasound, the gal that does the ultrasound is a actual vet that does the ultrasound and I do not believe that she is board certified but I have heard she is very good. I will go to the emergency vet clinic who has a board certified radiologist the does them as well and the vet reads it if the other gal does not respond shortly. The part that is puzzling is that he has no trouble with his breathing until he was under anesthesia which makes him more compromised. Im scared to do a biopsy and I know the ulstrasound may not give me a idea of what it is. I also got my renewal in the mail for my pet insurance and it has went from 55 to 121.00, I about fell over |

It makes sense to me that he would have the trouble under anesthesia for this kind of thing. Don't be scared of a biopsy yet, it might be somethibg they can aspirate or do with ultrasound (another reason for doing this in the hospital with a boarded rad)...,but talk to your vet about that. I am glad you have pet insurance but that does suck that the premium more than doubled. Which company is this? |
So sorry to hear this. Prayers for Chester and hope you get an answer soon. |
I am so sorry sending prayers for Chester and for you. |
I have pets best out of boise idaho, I have a 7,000 for each ocurence and if I drop it to 2500 then my premium goes down to 63 or it I change deductible to 500 it will be 93.00. The main reason I want the one gal to do it is she looks at it and reads it all at once. the place is the emergency vet and they try and get you to do everything, and that part I do not like. I still have not heard from this person or rather the vet office has not. |
I am so sorry to hear this :( I will be thinking about Chester and I hope (like 107Barney said) that it's something that can be aspirated. |
I am so sorry. Prayers. |
I am so sad reading this. I know how hard it is to wait for answers, it makes us ill. I hope it turns out to be something that is treatable but if it isn't try to focus on the fact that you and Chester still have a lot of living to do. You will be able to hold him and kiss him and make his life as good as possible as long as possible. I went through something similar with my Shelby but I didn't have that time. She was totally fine until her breathing caused us to take her to emergency. A mass was found and the decision had to be made. I know how horrible you feel, I really do. I would have done anything to have some time to understand and accept her prognosis. My only comfort was knowing that I loved her as much as any dog could be loved. I know you feel the same about Chester. There is never enough time with these precious babies but how lucky we are to have them in our lives. |
I am thinking about you and Chester and praying for good results. |
You have more patience than I. Don't know what I'd do if it were one of mine, but I think I would be going to the expert in this field for a second opinion and what can be done. Prayers will go out to Chester that he can get over this safely. |
I got news that he will have his ultrasound on this wednesday at 2 pm, I probably wont know anything though unless it is really critical |
dog Chester will be in my prayers. May the God of all Creation hold this little dog close and grant him healing. Love will surround him as he is treated for this and may you take comfort in knowing that Chester is in the thoughts and prayers of many friends. |
