Sneezing blood and blood in mouth Otherwise he seems fine, but he is sneezing blood and seems to have blood in his mouth. I am not sure if he might have just scratched his throat on food, or if it could be something horrible. any thoughts for me. |
Beau is a rescue, over 5. We have had him 3 1/2 months. He ate about 1/2 normal, but has just begun to change from Cesar moist to Royal Canin for Yorkies in the last few days |
He needs to be seen by a vet ASAP! |
Thank you for your quick response. |
Yes, please take him to the vet. If it was only a little blood in his mouth I wouldn't be too concerned but sneezing blood and blood in his mouth sounds like a vet emergency to me. |
Except for a female in heat, blood from any oriface is not normal and the pup should be seen by a vet ASAP! |
Wondering about this baby................any update? |
Hope this pup is okay...please update us when you can. |
Please let us know how Beau is doing. Hoping you took him to the vet and had him checked out. |
You need to bring your yorkie into a vet ASAP! Susan |
I hope your pup is ok |
Please update when you can. Hoping this baby is ok now. |
To the OP: You come here and tell us something very concerning. You thank us for a prompt reply. Now, it has been some time and you have not responded to questions about h ow he is......PLEASE let us know how Beau is!!! |
I am sorry I did not update back on this. Beau is just fine, thank you for your concern. I guess this was not an emergency and I should not have posted in this section. I did not take him to the vet. He had apparently cut his throat a little on food or something. I really wanted some thoughts or ideas, I forgot all you guys do is recommend to go to the vet. I held him still until the bleeding stopped and made sure he did not eat any dry food for a couple of day to give it time to heal, he has not had the problem since then. I know a little blood mixed in fluids looks like a lot and can be scary, but that is not cause to run to the vet. Terrify him and have him poked and prodded for nothing. I am 55 and have always had dogs. I have 6 yorkies and a maltese, they are 5, 7, 9 and 10 years old. I know when I need to take my dog to a vet, and always do--immediately. I would not stop to write a message. I could understand that if someone has a new pup or is a new pet owner, I am sorry, I should not have posted. |
Glad your baby is ok. |
