please help I have a yorkie terrer. And my wife bought him treats that contains milk ad they were big bone. Now since he ate those two big bone that suppose to last like two week he finish in 3 days. Mine you it have milk in it. Since the treats she gave him he been gagging and shaking. He threw up this morning 9/23/14 and I saw my tiny loop earring and I believe he ate that a couple of days ago he had to. As for the treats its been I believe a month now for the shakes and gagging. What can I do ?.. the treats is what started the shakes and the gagging I'm thinking cause of the milk in the treats. The treats he have we bought them almost a month ago and I kept telling my wife to stop giving it to him but she still continues to cause she thinks its ok. So now I need help on what to do. The earring part just happen. It wasn't the earring that gave him the shakes or gagging in my opioion I believe it was the treats he was already shaking and gagging before the earring innocdent |
I think that since he has been shaking and gagging for a month or more now he needs to be seen by a vet. Could you call your vet and ask them for advice and see what they say. That would worry me but I have no idea myself if it was the bones or not. I do know I had a poodle that I gave a milk bone to one time and ended up having to take her to emergency because she started having really bad diarrhea. Cannot be certain if that was it because I never gave her any more but the vet said not to give any more in case that was the cause. Hope things work out well for you and myself I would stop giving those bones if that is when this whole thing started. |
There are no vets on this forum, if your baby has been gagging and shaking for an entire month, he should have seen a vet weeks ago. You need to get him to a vet as soon as possible. Besides the gagging, does he also vomit? No member on this forum can diagnose what is wrong with your baby you really need to get him to a vet. |
A month is a long time to be shaking and gagging. I would take him to a vet. Is he still eating and going the bathroom? When you say gagging what do you mean? Is he trying to throw up? Or a cough like a cat spitting up a hairball. He might feel nausea. Keep us updated |
I agree 100% with everyone above.....vet him ASAP. I just had a huge scare with my Winnie eating something she shouldn't. Sometimes it happens....but immediate attention should be sought for your baby. Please keep us posted! Well wishes for the best! |
Hi and welcome to YT. I am sorry that your Yorkie has been so sick. Buster can sometimes eat to big of a piece and it causes him to gag but it does not last that long. I would also be concerned since you found the earring that you puppy might have eaten something else that might be stuck inside and causing problems. They are such tiny dogs they can get into trouble very quickly. It is always safer to take them to a Vet if you see they are having problems as it might be something serious. I would also throw out that box of milk bones and find a small bite size treat to give. I hope the Vet says everything is okay with your Yorkie. |
Hi and welcome to YT. I agree with the other posters...... your pup needs to be seen by a vet asap. Please let us know what happens. |
