Salivary swolen after dental surgery
 
I have taken Ms Wiggles back to the vet complaining of her condition since her baby tooth extraction and dental cleaning. Now they did a Biopsy and found it's her Salivary Glands. All they have said at this point is It's not Cancer. I don't have much faith in my Vet. Ms Wiggles is 1.5 years old and has been a healthy puppy. Her teeth are in Excellent condition too.
Her surgery was the first of june 2014. I do have Trupanion so don't have to worry about cost. I just worry about letting this condition linger on.
Has anyone out experienced this condition with their puppy?

I took Ms Wiggles to the Vet today and so far they said there's nothing to worry about. They said the gland swelling is not Cancer and no infection showed up in the tests. I'm beginning to wonder about this Vet. I take her to Banfield in Santa Rosa, Ca Anyone had experience with Banfield?

I would consider a second opinion. I've never been impressed with Banfield.

I think Banfield can be hit or miss, and that's true of any vet. They are a little infamous w/ their treatment protocols (which are automated via computer) bc they can be over-done and get pricey. There would be no harm in getting a second opinion. But what does the vet think it's from, then, if not an infection ?

My Momo has swollen salivary glands too, we got it fine needle aspirated & biopsied....same thing, came back as salivary tissue. I think it also showed up after his 1st dental cleaning. That was when he was 2 or 3. He's 6 years old now, going on 7 later this year in Dec & still has swollen salivary glands on both sides. It bothers me but it doesn't seem to bother him. He eats & drinks fine. Vets (I saw 3 different vets for this) do not seem concerned @ all!

The vets all felt for his other lymph nodes & they were all normal, so they assured me that nothing is wrong, but I can't still help but worry! Want to know why it's the way it is...
