Very happy to read that Lily Rose is doing very well!! She is a fighter, and adorable. |
Such a little sweetheart. The vet team's skills and compassion is outstanding. It is wonderful Lily Rose is recovering so well. |
4 Attachment(s) Our sweet Lily Rose continues to improve. Today they started her on oral medications to get her ready for discharge. She had two HBOT treatments and she will continue them tomorrow. She still has some open areas around her tail, but much improved. She follows her caregivers around. I was there today and she went towards the door with both the tech and the specialist. Clearly she knows they are caring for her. Poor baby is quiet and seems to be a bit bewildered. She has been through hell and back. It was good to see that she reacts to them the way she does. The plan is to discharge her on Tuesday....She's come a LONG way! Attachment 401293 Attachment 401294 Attachment 401295 Attachment 401296 |
Lily Rose Wow!! What a difference a week makes! How this little mite went from near death's door to being discharged next week is a miracle. And of course the amazing and dedicated care of the hospital and YH. I am sure her sweet personality helped the staff persist in the difficult treatment, they never gave up and neither did she. She still looks very sad and beaten up from the injuries but how happy she will be when she comes home to you for love and caring. You must be so happy and relieved with this outcome, and I guess that is what keeps rescuers going. Keep up the good work little baby, we are all praying for you and hoping that very soon you will be healthy and healed and in a loving forever home. |
Even though her wounds look painful....she has to feel better than she did when she was first admitted. Love it that she is following the staff around that care for her. |

I was wondering how she will react to being around other dogs after her terrible beating. How do you handle this? |
My goodness, Linda, Lily Rose looks wonderful! What a difference exceptional medical care makes! She is so lucky to have fallen into the hands of Yorkie Haven. As sad as it is to face, most organizations would not have gone to the lengths that you all go to in order to save each individual pup. The amount of money that it takes save them is sometimes staggering and you never compromise on their care. I know, just having had my little guy in the hospital for a few nights what the cost can be, and you do this over and over, always with the pups care coming first. I know how you must worry sometimes about how you'll pay the bill, but you never let that worry affect how you medically treat the pup - and the results are evident. Lily Rose is the result. Somehow the "broken" pups seem to find their way to you....there will be a place saved in Heaven just for you! I'm glad it's the first of the month and I can make another donation to help with Lily Rose's care - although rather small, I hope every little bit helps! |
Checking in and I think GOD and YHR are at it again! Another Miracle! |
Checking in. Haven't heard anything for two days. Did Lily Rose get to come home? |
Sorry....she was doing well and I just did not have a lot to say...and no new pics. She is leaving the hospital this evening to go to her new foster home! I won't be fostering her, but will post updates and pics as I get them! :) She is an amazing little one ... I am SO happy we were able to save her. |
Wonderful wonderful news. What a blessing she will be for some lucky person. |

There are other groups who also do what we do but many just cannot. Fundraising is difficult and daunting for some. |
I'm crying as I type this. Lily Rose has a fighting spirit and thank heavens for YHR! |
I would love to adopt this dog. |
