yorkie injured! my yorkie jumped off the couch and he started yelping and my grandma checked to see where it hurt him and it hurt his paw, he does not walk since it hurts his left hind leg, he is sleeping right now, i don't think his leg is broken, bit i don't know if it's sprained or just bruised :/:( |
You really need to take him to the vet to determine if it is broken, as they would need to treat it. |
Your grandma needs to take your yorkie to the vet. If you don't have one you can call today, then find an emergency clinic in your area. |

Hope that "little crack" heals properly....was there a suggestion from the vet that at least try to limit pups activity on that "little cracked" what-ever? I certainly would not allow pup to be jumping off furniture onto that "little cracked" what-ever............ |
What's a little crack? In the bone? |

Oh no! If it's a crack, big crack or little crack, you really need to take him to an orthopedic specialist...and no running or jumping. This could turn into big bucks if you don't take care of him properly. |
OK...can't help but wonder why the LOL in your user ID. |

dog My house is for the dogs. I worry about my Yorkies jumping off the couch so I bought a small set of steps from Petco. That way the Yorkies can walk up the steps to the couch. Train your yorkie to not jump off the couch but use steps. May save a vet bill. |
Hello Everyone, Im new here as well as a new yorkie owner. Having the same problem tho. My 2 and a half month old yorkie was sitting on the couch with me she was looking at the ground and then jumped and landed on the carpet. Its about 14 inches high. She then cried till i picked her up. I put her down and she was limping and favoriting 3 legs. When i touch it and move it she doesnt show any reaction of pain. I put here in her crate. So she would have much room to move on it. Its sunday and the vet is closed. I dont have a problem going to get xrays for her just wanted to ask would she be fine till i bring her tomorrow monday? |
You need to find an emergency 24 hour vet and get your pup there ASAP! |
