Something is not right! Hi, I'm new to this group. I have a 1 yr yorkie, Zoey (as of yesterday!). She is shaking and walking with head down as if in a daze. She was great in the morning, ate her breakfast. Towards the afternoon we noticed the change in her behavior. She won't play or eat now. She has been spayed. Thoughts? We are starting to get worried. |
I would seek out your vet. Not sure what is going on but shaking can be a sign of pain...and or seizure issues....best to take her to a vet. sending well wishes and I hope everything is ok with Zoey |
Yes, she needs to be seen by your vet. Please let us know what they say after she is seen. |

I took Zoey to vet this afternoon. Nothing showed up from blood work. Vet is thinking it might be viral. Gave her anti inflammatory and told me to monitor her through the night. Give her something bland to eat like chicken, rice or egg then see if she eats her regular food in the morning. We get home and she eats some of her food!! Go figure. She is laying down again so I'm just letting her rest. Thank you for feedback! |
Something viral like what?? Did she say? If those symptoms persist, I personally would have my pup at a specialist. Very concerning. |

To my relief she started feeling better Thursday! By Friday she was going for a walk!! For the life of me we have no idea what was wrong. Hopefully whatever it was it took its course and will not reoccur. My husband and I thought she might not make it. If she got into something, it's beyond me. I'm just grateful she is back to her normal, fistey self!! |

I know that this may sound like a bit of a stretch but,if she has another episode like this you might consider running a more extensive liver test. I had a little poodle that was fine and healthy until he turned 9yrs. He began having similar symptoms over a period of 2 years,each episode becoming a little longer each time. His regular bloodwork would come up normal. We finally figured out in his last days that it was his liver and by then the damage was done. Please keep an eye on your baby,weird as it sounds, watch for any poop that is not normal. |
