Uncomfortable pup My yorkie seems very uncomfortable. She's holding her butt in the air and moving around like she can not find comfort. She has been fine and out of no where started to act this way. She IS eating and drinking. What could be wrong? |
did you check her anal glands??? that may be what is wrong.... has she scooted her bum on the floor?? |
No butt scooting. How do I check her anal glands? |
well you can you tube it but I always take mine to the vet for the internal extraction. if you feel the area just make sure it looks and feels like it should. if there is a egg like in any part of her anal area that you can feel or see then that is most likely an anal sac issue. has she been groomed recently?? otherwise pooping fine that you know? |
Her anal area seems normal. She has not been groomed recently. And seems to be pooping normally. Do you think her stomach could possibly be upset? She has not used the bathroom since I noticed this a couple hours ago. |
She also seems to be drinking more water then normal |
I am not sure. your in florida so i am not sure about if maybe she is having allergies or if she does have a stomach upset. she doesnt eat human food does she? or had any change in food? I hope someone else can be of more help. I would put a call into my vet just to be sure..... |
I'd take her to see the vet, asap. Pancreatitis is common in this breed and can start as a painful tummy. |
She does eat human food but has not had anything out if the ordinary. I am going to call her vet. Thank you so much for the help |
One thing that has changed in the last few days is she is due for a flea pill. So it may be something like allergies. Do you think fleas may be the cause of somethin like this? |
