New Puppy Yorkie and Alt levels We just got our 3 month old yorkie puppy 2 weeks ago. Everything has been fine up until yesterday. She unfortunately had a scary fall. We were out and she wiggled her way out of my arms and jumped off onto the sidewalk. She landed on her side. She seems to have went into shock or a seizure. After a few minutes she was fine walking around eating etc. She went to the vet today and all looks good but 1 thing from her blood test. She has a high ALT level of 250. The vet said 150 was normal. Could this have been caused by her fall? She eats Blue buffalo puppy food and a few wellness treats here and there. She does eat human food or scraps. I also have Nutrical for her too. Not sure what to think since she's just a pup. |
What did the Vet say? |
The vet examined her and all looked good thankfully. She's mobile and back to normal, resting alot. It was just the blood test that showed the high ALT level. She's only 3 months and she has a healthy diet so not too sure what to think. :( |

Some of the more knowledgeable folks will be around to answer this, stick around or check back. Welcome to YT. I hope your pup is ok. Keep a very close eye on her for the next few days. Did the vet do an xray? |
I would ask the Vet what this meant or was an indication of, if they brought it up they should have explained it to you to your satisfaction. Did they say do another BT in some period of time? |
Again have your Vet explain and see if they want follow ups http://www.hshv.org/documents/Unders..._Bloodwork.pdf |
