Sammy's sister having issues again :/ My mom has lilah and a few weeks ago Lilah was having problems with poop sticking to her rear end. Took her to the vet and was told to feed her 70% kibble mixed with wet food. She got better no issues. My mom started to increase the kibble and decrease the wet and lilah got stuck again today. Also it isn't hard or diarrhea. Anyone ever have this issue? The first time she was on petsmart brand food. Vet said to change her to a better food and she has been on wellness. She is 13 weeks and 5lbs. Sammy has not had any problems at all he is about 6.3 lbs. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. My mom is really worried |
I'd go back and feed what the vet suggested. Sounds like she may need more water in her diet to keep things moving. |
I would listen to what the vet said and in a couple of weeks follow up with the vet to see if things needs to get changed |
Thx! I told my mom to keep feeding the wet with the 70% kibble for now . She seems to do well on that ratio |
I would think the more wet would make the poops more sticky, but who knows? How is the hair around her rear? Perhaps its just her hair that makes it stick sometimes. I get my girl's poop area trimmed very short....She hates when even the tiniest bit sticks. I think she thinks there is more coming or something and she will just squat and squat and squat and...hoping for it to be done, when really there is just a small bit stuck on a hair! |
The hair isn't too bad but that is also something that we are going to have done. |
