Throwing up--HELP??? Gabby woke up this morning around 1:45 to go to the bathroom. She went back to bed and was fine. She got up again at 5:45 and threw up right in front of her bed. I am not sure what caused her to throw up but she has never done this before. She is 15 weeks old and is very active. I have read where others gave them pumpkin. Is this Ok? Thanks for your help in advance. |
Was it yellow bile that she threw up? Could be that she just needs a little food in her tummy. Give her a regular breakfast. Teddy did this when he was a pup. Giving him a few kibble late at night solved the problem. Pumpkin is not for vomiting. |

Very important that she eats this morning... watch for hypoglycemia. If vomiting continues, I'd go to the vet. |

I free feed and dont have this "empty stomach syndrome"!! I have found they dont snack all night long, but it is down if they start feeling completely empty. |
How is Gabby doing? |
Better Thank you to all that responded today. Gabby has been fine the rest of the day. She has eaten as normal. She must have just been hungry. I appreciate everyones response. |

Regarding the pumpkin -- it often used for constipation and diarrhea (I know, weird that it can work for both). However, for my Teddy, pumpkin makes diarrhea worse. Just something to watch out for since it sounds like Gabby and Teddy both have a fast metabolism. :) |
