My dog ate onion powder I was eating BBQ potato chips, dropped one on the floor, and Leo scapped it up. I tried to get it from him but he ran and went under the couch and ate it..I read the ingredients, and there's onion powder! Now i'm a little worried :( |
I'm not sure how much concern there would be over the amount of onion powder in a single chip, but I can tell you that a plain, unsalted potato chip gave Max a belly ache. Max is a big boy with a sturdy stomach too. Dad dropped the chip on the floor. Keep a close eye on Leo and know your way to the ER just in case. Hoping he will be fine. |
One or two chips shouldn't cause a severe problem. The danger with onions is if they are consumed over a 2-3 day period, or a large amount at one time (in which case I would induce vomiting, IMHO). |
I agree I would be more worried about the fat than the onion powder. Hope he's ok though. Uni got a bout of pancreatitis from eating a single stir fry noodle (skinny noodle) off the ground when she was younger. Was sick for about 2 weeks with bloody diahreah. |
I think he will be ok. Just watch him for any signs of an upset tummy. |
