Could it be a cold? Hello, It has been a while since I have posted anything (work and school) but Rambo and I would like to say Happy Holidays to everyone!! Now for a question... The other night Rambo has been sniffling, but it was a sniffling like he was choking or about to throw up. It happened for about 30 sec to 1 min. He was just playing with his toys. Nothing was on the floor that is unusual. He doesn't do this all the time but he has done it a coule of times before. But the other day it kinda of freaked me out. After the little episode he was back on the floor playing again. Could it be a cold? He goes to the vet next week. |
When I went to school (vet tech) we were told that dogs do not catch colds, but maybe since then, things have changed. |
If it's the same thing I'm thinking about, sounds like the dog is trying to snort snot through their nose or like they have something caught in there and they're trying to get it out? We call it "The Snarfles". It doesn't seem to affect them bad, cause they still have some facial expressions while this is going on. Our vet said it's most likely a disruption of air through their nose. But as long as it doesn't make them worse, I will let it slide. |
