| Welcome to Yorkie Talk, Michelle. My Teddy had a couple of dark spots on his anus for almost a year. When I first saw them, I thought he just needed a wash. They were not dark black. He had no anal sack problems, so I wasn't too worried. They eventually went away.
If there is any swelling, or the blackness is more on the skin part, or if your doggy licks or chews her back end, or scoots, shows any signs of discomfort or difficulty eliminating, then I would press your vet. Or seek a second opinion from another doctor. |
