Sending our prayers to you and Dudley. |
dudley The love of a dog is so precious- it breaks my heart to hear dudley is like my tuffy was- he stopped eating and the vet said it was time. So sad- how we love our dogs and they love us- spend precious time with him and know that his comfort is important. I handed tuffy back to jesus when it was time- he gave me that gift and i gave tuffy back- forever grateful for the time we spent together- |
Prayers lifted for you and your precious Dudley. |
I am so sorry. Keeping Dudley and you in my prayers. |
Thank you everyone for your prayers and advice. He ate better yesterday with no vomiting. It is such an up and down roller coaster that my emotions are wrecked! Anyway, I will keep you informed. |

Thanks for the update.... may of us are praying for both of you! |
dudley Take every day and spend it by dudleys side- do not worry about tomorrow- i do hospice work and that is how people nearing the end face life. We do not know tomorrow-let god lead and he will carry us through the valleys of life. |

Gentle ((((hugs))) to Dudley and his Mom. |
Yesterday I saw an improvement in Dudley. He ate about 1/2 his food and went for a walk with me. I got him to eat a little more then told him"Oh no it is time for the dreaded pill!" He put his little ears down and his tail and walked right over to me and sat down. I burst out laughing. It was so pitiful. but funny too. I gave him the pill and then his usual treat. I guess he has decided the treat is worth the dreaded pill. I am really going to miss his little personality. |
Aw! What a good boy! |
Dudley How sweet, he is trying to make a tough job easier for you. So happy that he had a good day yesterday, hope it is the same for today. These babies are so brave and never complain, but I wish they could talk sometimes to let us know heat they are really thinking. |
What a sweet boy. Praying for Dudley and you. |
Praying for Dudly and you. Glad he's doing some better. I wish mine wouldn't run from the "dreaded pills". |
I am so sorry that you are going through this with your baby. I am experiencing the same thing with the little pom that lives with us (my mother's baby). She doesnt like taking her meds either. I am crushing her pills up and mixing them with baby meats. She licks it off of the spoon and likes it. Dont know if this will help make a tuff moment better. I will be keeping you both in my thoughts. |
Well, another worry. He is eating some but hasn't pooped for 2 days. I don't know what is happening. Also he is getting kind of jumpy. He will be lying on my lap and all of a sudden he jumps up and acts scared and goes to the other end of the couch. I try to reassure him all is ok but he just isn't himself. Any ideas? |
I am so sorry you two are going through all this. I have no advice but want you to know prayers are going up. Hopefully someone with experience with all this can help you. |
dog HI i am from san diego too. Get a good vet and take dudley in. I go to dr houston at the pet hospital in tierransanta. He is really good. I will pray for him. |
He gets his blood retested on June 20 so will ask the vet then if he has any ideas about this behavior. I just thought maybe someone here might have some idea of why he is so jumpy. I hope he isn't in pain. |
prayers for dudley i hope you find the cause of the issue maybe constipation? could you check with your vet on something to help if he still hasnt done number 2?? best wishes. |
I did get him the pumpkin as was suggested. Thank you for that. He pooped twice and seemed to feel better. I wonder if this has something to do with the meds he is taking. I guess I will find out when I return to the vet. My avatar shows Dudley lying in his corner of the couch. |
Some meds can definitely cause constipation. Will Dudley eat green beans and/or carrot sticks? I give those to Mandie (she loves them) to add some fiber to her diet. Glad he pooped! He is so cute in your avatar. :) |
Dudley Poor guy, he has been through a lot but seems to recover and feel good again. As for the jumpiness, my dog goes through phases of this. He will be sleeping or lying down and will suddenly, for no apparent reason, jump up and run away from me. He has no medical issues, so I feel sure it's not that. I have found that often he reacts like this when he wants something, like a drink or potty. Other times there is no explanation. Perhaps he hears a noise, has a scary dream ( if dogs dream?) , or he has tummy gas?? It is disturbing I know. Of course it could be his health issues or the meds?? Your future vet trip will hopefully help discover the cause. Praying for Dudley that he feels better and for you, as this roller coaster is very stressful. |

Back to vet today I have to take Dudley in at 9:00 this morning to see how the meds are working. I pray that his numbers are better but I don't know what is going to happen. I will let you guys know how it turns out. |
Praying that you get some news |
Let us know when you can, how Dudley did today. |
Well the news is good and bad. The kidneys are a little better(not much but some) one of the liver tests is now normal and the other is worse. She said to try giving him fish oil as it is good for the liver. Ok. How much should I give him as a 3 pound dog? Any ideas? She just said to poke a hole in a capsule and put it on his food. She has never seen him so I just am at a loss. Please let me know if any of you use this on your pups. |
