Sure. An oversimplification: The adrenal glands (glands that sit on the kidneys) produce corticosteroids. When this process is disrupted, the animal gets very sick ecause these steroids are needed to deal with metabolism and stress. Thus, any stress causes a physiological problem ecause the body cannotadequately respond. Treatment of choice is a once monthly (ish) injection of Percorten).
