Gizmo is throwing up! I woke up this morning to Gizzy throwing up all over my bed. He started whinning first, then he just started dry heaving. He only throws up a little bit of flem, and some watery looking stuff. (sorry I know that was nasty to hear) He has not done it for a few minutes now. But what should I do if he does it again?? |
Mine do that sometimes - how is he feeling now ? |
first thing in the morning may mean he has a sensitive acid stomach when it is empty. if that is the case getting something in his tummy asap helps. |
Hope he's feeling better. |
Ok, here is an update. Now I am really getting worried about him. He has not throw up since this morning. But I have not been able to get him to eat or drink anything at all. He has just laid there and curled up somewhere. So I checked his teeth to make sure that he did not have anything going on in there, that would keep him from wanting to eat. He has his adult teeth pushing through on the back. And the baby teeth were still there. They were really loose, and wheni wiggled them very gently, they got even looser and were just hanging there by a little bit of his gums. So I went ahead and pulled them out all the way. And when I started to look at the front top teeth, the adult teeth are already in, and have pushed the baby teeth up, but they aren't loose at all. So I am just going to leave them alone. I am really worried about him not eating or drinking. Can anyone help?? |
If you have some Nutri-Cal, I'd give him some of that for now. He probably is sick from the teeth. I'm guessing here. Kacee got sick when she was teething and she had a really bad time of it. I never had one so sick before while they were teething. If I were you, though, I think I'd hit the vet's office first thing in the morning. Could be more going on there. Hope you're doing ok. :) I almost forgot. If you have a syringe or dropper, try giving him some water that way. |
Ok, thank you for the help. I was wanting to take hi my the vet in the morning. But we have to leave here at 5 for peculiar, mo. So I am going to give him the nutri-cal, and some water from a dropper. And stay up with him through the night just to make sure he gets the propper nurishment to not go into any type of shock. That is something that I really can't handle right now. Not after everything else. Thank you again for your help, and I will keep you informed.. - Heather |
Heather - you're doing the right thing taking him n and the teeth may have to be pulled that haven't fallen out on their own - that's pretty common with yorkies - the real problem is him not eating....keep doing the water and nutrical ...also - did you try a little boiled chicken and rice ? Let us know what the vet says and I hope he's going to be ok !!! |
I hope Gizmo is doing better today and we hear an update on him. It's never easy when we hear that another members fur baby is not feeling well. :( |
I hope Gizmo starts feeling better soon. |
Ok sorry I have been away all day, but I have got the other two back teeth to come out, and he seems much happier. On the other hand the four front top teeth are still there, but they are not loose at all. I figure I will give him a little longer to loose them on his own, and keep a very close eye on them for infection and other troubles. I went to church last night, and when I came home he was so happy and loving!! It was so nice to have his old self back!! Hopefully the baby teeth will just fall out on there own, and he can be healthy and happy!!!!! |
I'm glad he's feeling a little better. Those darn teeth! |
