tcc/bladder mass/ cancer I have a friend whose dog has this and needs as much info as possible about this. If anyone has any knowledge on this, please post and I will pass it on to her. I feel so bad for her and her sweet baby. |
I don't have info but want to offer prayers. I think I know who this is about and it is just so sad :( and I have been praying for this mom and her little girl since I found out she was so ill. |
I am sorry. I do not have any help for you. Good thoughts going their way |
I wish I knew something, but I only know about this in humans...and it's apparently a much different situation in humans vs dogs. I hope someone here knows something that can help. |
No knowledge to pass on, but is she seeing a specialist? If not, please ask her to do so. Either an internist or a local university vet school. They are her best bet for care and options. |
no advice but wanted to offer my thoughts and prayers for this baby and its owners. |
My Chipper who was 13 at the time was diagnose with a cancer mass in the bladder. He went into surgery for the removal of bladder stones and the vet found a strange mass in his bladder and took a biopsy. It came back positive with a type of cancer that usually found in the mouth. The mass was inoperable and 5 weeks later I had to make the hard decision to let my baby go to the rainbow bridge. |
Just bringing this thread back up to let you know that my friends dog with bladder cancer had her tumor removed 10 months ago and did well until now. Poor baby...she has another tumor in her bladder. My friend wants to start a group on Facebook for transitional cell carcinoma in dogs so that people can share information and advice. If anyone knows of someone whose little dog has bladder cancer, please pm me and I will find out the link to the group. I feel so bad for anyone dealing with this. So heartbreaking. |
