What are you doing to control her eating? It might help other people who encounter this problem. |
They have those special bowls for dogs that INHALE their food...has little bump nobbie things in the bottom of the bowl, and they cant eat mouthfuls of food because they have to work to get it from around the nobbies! ......in case you have to advance her past spoon feeding for some reason.... |
We are spoon-feeding her, currently. Seems to be doing the trick. |
Thanks for the tip. Definitely will look for one of those. |
Like Yorkiemom1 said, the special slow-feed dog bowls can do that for you. Tibbe eats one piece at a time and it takes him a long time to eat. And thankfully, he doesn't get excited by mealtime especially once the bowl is down. But he's a good eater and not picky. I pray the slow feeding can help your little one keep from going into excitement and then sleep. Poor little thing. |
slow feed Happy that your baby is doing well now with the spoon feed. The special bowls may work for some less greedy dogs, but sadly mine just vacuums the kibble up whatever the source. LOL. He also never chews! All I can do is give him very small kibble or feed him by hand. Perhaps with soft food rather than kibble, the bowls would work better as it is not so easy to do the vacuum act?? |
