Charlie VS the hot dog
 
Well, I guess it had to happen at some point.
Our couch sits very close to the kitchen table and Charlie has (at times) gotten up on the table on his own and shredded receipts played with things etc.... however last night we were having hot dogs for dinner I got up to get something and was then distracted by hubby which left my dog wide open. Charlie found it to tempting and had to help himself. (GEEESH)
my dog off and running under the bed with his dog in his mouth.

Now as you know Charlie has MVD I was of course very concered so called the vet they said that to watch him and give him some pepto as his tummy was going to be upset.

WELL THEY WERENT KIDDING.

About mid stream through the raffle he starts puking up hot dogs, on the couch on the chair on hubby :eek: (LOL) it was a mess. Well he is better today no more hotdogs spewing out of him but I imagine we will have some diarrhea later. we are still doing the pepto.

Will Charlie learn from this??? I imagine not. ;)

Well I had to share the story of dog eat dog :D

oh my... I just read your pm that was a reply to my asking if little Charlie was ok. Poor guy... hope he doesn't do that again. Hot dogs are so bad:rolleyes:yummy but bad

Oh goodness! I remember you saying that Charlie was sick last night. Done in by a dog! I'm thinking you are right..he won't learn his lesson. If another dog is left unattended, I'm sure he'll make a go for it. Little scamp!

Glad his vomiting is under control now! :)

Oh and he is FAST!!!!! i could not catch him and i think he must have swallowed it whole i mean it was gone LOL

and you know i kind of feel like it was worse only because he has been eating so healthy for so long now with the new diet. it was like he was thrown into shock by the hotdog. LOL

I was in the middle of my bologna sandwich last week, and the UPS man came with a delivery...I KNOW that I can NOT leave a chair pushed out from the table....when I got back, no bologna sandwich....for a second, I couldnt remember for certain if I had eaten it already....until I saw "Rosehill's Charmin Beaucephus" (BoBo) peeking out from under the foot stool with Miracle Whip on his mouth.....like "Charlie's Misadventure with his Hot Dog", I think he must have swallowed that thing whole! Fortunately, BoBo doesnt have any health issues, so he was fine....Hopefully, I will remember to push my chair in everytime I get up from the table! I am glad little Charlie didnt get tooo sick from his "prize"!

Oh my goodness how did I miss this. I'm so sorry to read that Charlie got so sick from his adventure with a Hot Dog.
I pray he is feeling better.
