Tonsillitis? My 4 month old yorkie has been running a fever- so I took him to the vet today after asking alot of questions and looking into his throat which was no easy task- and doing blood work- It was determined Teddy Bear has tonsillitis? Is this normal for small breeds? |
OMGoodness! That's one I never thought of but I am a new Yorkie owner. I'm sure someone else will come to your aid and I'm praying your pup recovers well and completely!! |
I know someone who had a small puppy and it had tonsillitis! I don't know if it is common, but it does happen! I hope Teddy gets to feeling better soon! |
Thanks Everyone- I got him laying down all comfy- He is resting now- hoping he will be up and playing soon Antibotics should work soon I hope |
The antibotics should really help. Dudley has had this twice. The first time, we rushed him to the emerg. clinic in the middle of the night because they had been chewing earlier on CT chews and I thought he had a piece stuck in his throat. He acted just like he was choking. Turns out to be toncillitus. Then, about 6 mo. later he had it again. Thats been awhile now and so far so good. Hope your baby gets well real soon. |
It does happen. Rosie had it once. I kept it to myself because I thought the ER vet was crazy. Anyway, antibiotics fixed her up! I am sure your baby will feel better soon! |
Yes, it does happen! Hopefully Teddy Bear will be feeling better soon!! |
Zoey was in for a check-up and the vet asked me if Zoey barked a lot. Not really, why? Her tonsils were swollen. I was shocked - didn't know that dogs had tonsils. |
