Shaking and yelping. Hi everyone, My Roxy is usually an active vocal 8 year old, however the past few days she has a look in her eyes as if she is in pain. She is shaking pretty much the entire time she is awake, the only way I can comfort her is to pet her continually. She randomly yelps as if in pain. She is not able to jump up onto or off of couch right now. She usually lays around, but now she just stands staring blankly and shaking. If looks like it is uncomfortable for her to lay down. I noticed her panting and making noises like she is having trouble breathing. I noticed her hearing and vision declining over the past few months. If I do not see improvement come morning, I will be taking her to see her vet. Any advice is greatly appreciated, Thank you kindly in advance. |

Welcome to YT. |
She sounds to me like you have it pegged...I think she is in pain...the look in her eyes, the shaking continually, the yelping, all signs of pain. Please get your baby to the vet tomorrow...if it was me, I would be at the emergency vet...if this is pancreatitis, they can go downhill rapidly...if they cant make an appointment for you, do a walk in....it is important she be seen. |
I agree with Vicki she needs to see the vet. Prayers for that it is nothing serious. |
A vet visit is the best thing at this point. There is definitely something going on with her. Keep her comfortable and get in to the vet asap ! |
This dog needs to see an emergency vet right now. Please read posts #40 and #41 and click on the links in those two posts if you want some further guidance. HOW TO Tell If Your Dog is in Pain | Find A Vet These 13 Dog Symptoms Need Immediate Attention From Your Vet | Find A Vet |
I agree, she should be seen immediately. Honestly, she should have been seen before now...but nothing that can be done about that. These little ones don't have a lot of reserve and can go down very quickly. I have a pup in the ICU right now...he was vomiting one day and went to the vet...by morning he was severely ill with pancreatitis. He was only given a 50/50 chance of survival and needed plasma to recover. Vomiting and shaking can be pancreatitis or a number of other things.... An emergency vet would be best rather than to wait any longer. Good luck!! |
Hi. I am sorry Roxy is sick. I agree with everyone above she needs to see a vet ASAP. I hope everything works out well. |
