Congrats! Very glad to hear! They say pH can vary throughout the day and can go up after feeding but they also say if they have a continuous high pH that you may need to limit oxalates in his diet.....just something to ask about. I am very interested in hearing his new BAT numbers because we are going through exactly the same thing! All the best and fingers crossed for good readings!

I am very relieved about the urine results. when he was at the specialist in August after he had his surgery they had done urine tests then and he had crystals so I have been a nervous wreck that he would get more stones. I never want him to have those again he was in so much pain. I am hoping the BAT result is better.

I did ask if his BAT would ever be "normal" and was told that no probably not but the goal now is to keep it at a safe level. now that we have a baseline it will be better to follow his results and adjust medication if need be. I also asked if he could become immune to the flagyl that is the antibiotic he is on, she said tht while it is possible she hasnt seen it be an issue but if it did there were other options. I know people can become immune to meds so I figured fur kids can too.

My Tink had bladder stones/crystals. I read on a website that adding coconut oil to the diet can help, so she's been getting coconut oil since before her surgery. She has not had a UTI since her surgery.

Also, Tink was on antibiotics only intermittantly, like every 3-4 months, as needed.

Prayers for sweet Charlie Brown. He is adorable. I am so happy the pee tests were good. We will trust that the blood work will be great. You are taking such good care of him and I know he is loving you for that!

Charlie has to take the flagyl (1ml 2 times daily) and Lactulose ( 1ml every 8 hours) but he will always be on it according to the vet. (maybe cause he has the MVD and not a fixable shunt?) He hasnt been healthier though so it seems to be working along with the diet.

ok Im at work so this is going to be very short but I HAD to share this one result. I will post all results later tonight after I get home but CHarlies POST B.A.T was 27.6 !!!!!!!! In June his post was 71

I am so excited I cant stand it.

Great result! You must be very pleased with that! Obviously you are doing something very right! Sometime when you get a chance please briefly outline his diet including meds and supplements. Congrats!

There is power in prayer! Charlie Brown had so many of us praying for him and I am so glad he is doing well. I will be thankful today for giving him good health and favor. Our Lord is faithful and hears our requests and I trust Him with my life, my family, my dogs and all. Go Charlie Brown and stay healthy and happy!
