I do hope that he is fine! :) He probably is...it is your first experience and it can be daunting. I have done many because I foster and they still can concern me at times. |
I feel so bad for you and your pup!! This would have made me furious! I also would think that there should be another surgeon on call if yours is not available. I know it's the weekend but you should be able to get some answers. Sending prayers and hugs your way!! |

Good luck at the vet tomorrow. |
Good to hear is he starting to touch the floor, good luck with the checkup. |
I took Empy to the vet today. He said that he's ok but for us to not do range of motion on him. Just let him heal and bring him back on Thursday to get his stitches out. So I'm not that worried anymore. He's pretty happy today and has alot more energy. I tried to keep him in his little space but he tried to jump out so I now have our room blocked off to a small space an he lays on the floor with blankets an watches tv he likes it better then the hallway. I don't know what I'm going to do when he starts using his leg. I don't know how to control him, hes ok when I'm home but when I leave and come back hes so excited he will try to jump up and say hi. He stands in front of his baby gate and spins in circles thinking I'll let him out. The dr said the next 3 weeks are the hardest and most important that really scares me. I never knew how long a week was until this week. I'm counting down the hours haha. Any suggestions on how to keep him from getting excited? |
I is hard to keep them form not getting excited. I am glad he is doing better |
I hope that the vet says something to the others in there who recommended range of motion. That to me was ridiculous. Glad that no harm came to him! Gosh, I don't know what to say....I have worried through all of those that I have done. Usually they are ok. It sounds like you are doing everything right!! I do know how relieved you will be when it is over! :) |
Maybe when you leave he can go into his crate so he would not be able to be so active when you get back. They do turn into little popcorn kernels when we come home.;) |
